City Front Square was designed as a two phase mixed-use high-rise residential project slated for the center of downtown San Jose. Located in the San Antonio Plaza Redevelopment Project Area on a parcel on Market Street known as Block 8, the first phase was comprised of two luxury condominium towers with one of the towers containing below market rate rental replacement units for an existing on-site senior residence. The second phase will be the demoliton of the existing senior residence building and the construciton of a second luxury condominium tower in its place. The planned development was designed and developed per a Disposition and Development Agreement between the developer and the City of San Jose Redevelopment Agency that commenced upon the award of the project to the developer after a lengthy selection process.
